Uncorked Canvas ™ in Gig Harbor Introduces Artists

Bruce Thompson, Dave Montgomery, Kate Hauser Ivana Ratermann, and Rebekah Slusher have joined Uncorked Canvas, a new Gig Harbor business which will open April 8, 2011.     These skilled artists will help guests create a featured painting with simple step-by-step instructions.  The guests leave for home with their own personal creation.

The Uncorked Canvas artists have a variety of art and instruction backgrounds that appeal to a wide range of styles and abilities.  They are enthusiastic about sharing their skills with community members.   “I am very excited about the opportunity to be working with Uncorked Canvas because they have created a venue where anyone can come and experience how fun and rewarding making art can be. I hope to share what I have learned with a broad spectrum of people while celebrating creativity in a relaxed atmosphere,” said artist Bruce Thompson. New Fun Activity for Kindergarteners on Fridays in Gig Harbor

Uncorked Canvas™, is offering Friday morning lunch and painting sessions.   These unique classes will be taught by a skilled artist who guides the children through creating the featured painting with simple step-by-step instructions; a pizza lunch is included in class fee.   The children will leave class with their own personal creation.  

The Friday morning classes begin at 10:00 and require preregistration on the Uncorked Canvas website www.uncorkedcanvas.com.  “These Friday morning classes provide a fun event to occupy kindergarteners on Fridays,”  said co-owner, Shaun Lindfors.  “Best of all it is stress free for the parents;  they can relax and socialize during the class while their child creates art and has lunch.”

Uncorked Canvas provides weekly prescheduled painting sessions of a featured painting.  In addition to regular classes, Uncorked Canvas offers children’s birthday parties and special events for adults including ladies night out, bridal showers, corporate events and team outings.

New Gig Harbor Business Offers Painting Instruction in Fun Atmosphere

Uncorked Canvas™, a retail business focused on providing painting instruction to both adults and children in a relaxed and fun environment will open April 8, 2011 in Gig Harbor, WA. Regular classes will be guided by a skilled artist who guides the class through creating the featured painting with simple step-by-step instructions. The guests leave home with their own personal creation.

Uncorked Canvas provides weekly prescheduled painting sessions of a featured painting. “People are amazed at what they can create with a little instruction and relaxation. It is a fun way to try something new, ” said co-owner, Robin Kinerk. She said that in trial classes held before the opening, “adults were especially amazed at what they can do. For many of our guests it has been decades since they painted anything besides the walls of our house.”

In addition to regular classes, Uncorked Canvas offers children’s birthday parties and special events for adults including ladies night out, bridal showers, corporate events and team outings. “ The private parties are especially fun and provide a great opportunity to create a memorable event for kids and adults,” says co-owner Shaun Lindfors. “We are excited to be bringing this experience to Gig Harbor, ” she said.
